I had posted this on a personal blog, but am copying it over here. Technically I guess it is TV news, and everyone is talking about it. Feel free to add your own 2 cents (but try to keep comments tasteful!)
Like many Americans I am guessing, I only tuned into the VMAs to see Britney Spears open it. If you missed this, um, performance? Well you can watch it over at MTV. What can I say about this mess? First, the media is making her out to be a fat cow, which she’s not. She’s full figured, she’s had two kids, she has a real body. She probably should have made better wardrobe choices, but she’s by no means a fat cow. I know Britney loves to lip sych, but for her come back performance it was one time she SHOULDN’T have! She also stopped singing at times, as if she got confused or scared. As for her dancing, did she forget how? Terrible! She was stiff as a board. It is clear that she was petrified during this whole thing. Unfortunately now she’s being crucified! I don’t know, can she over come this? Will people buy her new album? Sadly I really wanted her to rock it, just to show the world and media who all talked badly about her. What can I say, I like rooting for the underdog.
From the official ABC show release . . . side notes added by me.
Eldest sibling Sarah Whedon (Emmy Award nominee Rachel Griffiths) is a mother of two who left a prestigious corporate job to spend time with her family and run Ojai Foods. After finding the business in ruins, she fights to salvage what’s left of her failing marriage and keep Ojai alive. (Side note: Sarah and Joe separate, Joe sues for custody of the kids!)
Kevin (Matthew Rhys) is an openly gay lawyer who is cautiously learning about love while keeping the family out of legal trouble. (Side note: Kevin’s original love interest Scotty from season one is returning, probably briefly).
Loyal middle brother Tommy Walker (Balthazar Getty) struggles to provide the emotional support needed by his beautiful wife, Julia (Sarah Jane Morris), and their vulnerable newborn daughter, Elizabeth, while risking everything to open a winery with his father’s lifelong mistress, Holly Harper (Patricia Wettig).
The baby of the family, Justin (Dave Annable), struggles with war trauma and addiction, while Kitty (Calista Flockhart) hits the campaign trail alongside Republican presidential candidate Senator Robert McCallister (Rob Lowe) – her boss and fiance. (Side notes: Justin comes home early in the season wounded, becomes involved with Emily’s trouble making best friend. The senator’s ex arrives this season and causes huge troubles for his campaign on a talk show. Kitty also comes under fire for not agreeing with all the Senator’s policies.)
Saul Holden (Ron Rifkin) is the emotional pillar of the Walker family, struggling to keep Ojai Foods above water while grappling with his own identity. Rebecca (Emily VanCamp) is the illegitimate daughter of William Walker and Holly, who was kept secret for two decades but now seeks a way to fit into this very complex family puzzle.
Another final side note, in the season premier, look for Kitty to be fitted for her wedding dress!

So I was able to watch some of the feeds last night to try and figure out what the heck would happen come Thursday. Jameka and Jess are still on the block and one will go home, but nobody in the house yet knows that actually two people are going to be going home! Dick and Danielle have no issues betraying their alliance with Jessica and Eric, they proved that by trying to get Zack to put them both up insuring one would go home. Dick considered a pact to save Jameka to send Jess home, but Jameka apparently has been giving “mean” looks to Danielle and Danielle is pissed about it. Dick also was calling her a loser (behind her back) and saying her ass needed to go home. It’s looking like if Danielle and Dick both vote for Jameka, she’s gone. Oh Jameka actually asked Jessica “do you think Eric will vote for you?”
Eric or Jessica, if they both stay in the game passed eviction #1, must win HOH in order to make it to the final 4. I know Dick and Danielle have their fans, I just really want to see one of them go home on Thursday. I really really do!
USA Today has both an article and video introducing Dana Delaney’s character Katherine Mayfair. The video gives a sneak peak at the new home on the block!
The new mystery surrounding her character Katherine has to do with something that happened on Wisteria Lane and is tied to something her husband Adam (Nathan Fillion) did years ago in Chicago. Katherine used to live on Wisteria Lane but left 12 years ago, she and her husband return to care for an ailing relative. As previously mentioned their daughter Dylan (Lyndsy Fonesca) knew Julie years ago, but seems to have memory issues about certain events. Hmmmmm.
Katherine will be a rival for Bree, the perfect housewife yet apparently much more devious than Bree (how is that even possible?). Katherine will be Bree’s new neighbor, apparently upon their first meeting Katherine asks Bree to cut down one of her trees because it’s blocking light to her yard and she can’t grow her vegetables. Uh oh! Bree later sneaks in and tries to snoop at Katherine’s prize winning recipes.
Katherine also has issues with Lynette’s kids and their eyesore of a tree house, and she doesn’t like the new gay neighbor’s eyesore of a sculpture that spouts water day and night. She then decides to run for president of the home owners association and competes against Lynette!
