Private Practice Character Recast

Audra McDonald Access Hollywood and TVGuide.com are reporting that there has already been a recast in the new “Grey’s” spinoff “Private Practice.” Merrin Dungey, who played Addison’s best friend Naomi, has been recast with Audra McDonald.

  1. I’ll have to research on Merrin Dungey. I can’t remember what she looked like. I’m sure Audra McDonald will do a great job. I hope this show is a hit.

  3. I loved Merrin in Alias and Summerland, and she was great in the back-door pilot. Its a shame she was let go.
    I havent seen Audra in the role so I wont judge and say it was a horrible mistake. But I know a lot of people who saw the back-door pilot were big fans of Merrin. Hopefully it still gets good ratings.
