Brothers and Sisters and Grey’s Spinoff Spoilerish Tidbits!

Some may consider these spoilerish!
The “Grey’s” 2 hour episode, which is said to be the test for the Kate Walsh spinoff, will air on May 3rd as previously posted. The episode is called “The Other Side of This Life” and will be split between Kate’s trip to LA and the drama going on in Seattle. The cast for the possible spin-off has been confirmed to include Paul Adelstein, Amy Brenneman, Tim Daly, Merrin Dungey, Taye Diggs and Chris Lowell. Taye’s character and Merrin’s are former med-school buddies of Addison’s, they were once married but have since split up. The spin-off is said to be called “Private Practice,” but it hasn’t officially been named or picked up. Source for some: Zap2It.com
Meanwhile when “Brothers and Sisters” comes back, look for Holly Harper to go into business with Tommy Walker as they open up the winery that, according to Holly, Tommy’s dad William purchased for him to run (I’m still not sure I believe this one!). Anyways, at the opening Holly, apparently goes after Nora’s new guy (her writing professor). Seems Holly likes Nora’s tastes in men lol!
Many of you have written or commented on other shows I should pick up or try. Believe me, I have watched a lot of shows, or tried to 🙂 In some cases I just don’t have enough time, in other cases something else is on at the same time that I normally watch. There are other shows that I only watch if nothing else is on and feel I just don’t follow closely enough to do a weekly comment on. “Lost” is a show that everyone in America loves, except for me it seems. I watched the first few episodes and just never got into it really.
Now the show is watched in my house and if I’m in the room I’ll somewhat pay attention. However I don’t know enough to keep up with the hard core fans I’m afraid. I realize it’s one of those shows that is fun to discuss and theorize about. This summer if I have time I MAY try and do a DVD marathon and catch up. We’ll see. Otherwise if I keep this blog/site up then I could have a guest blogger cover “Lost” perhaps 🙂
With the primetime season winding down in May, we have the whole slew of summer reality shows on the way as well as primetime summer fillers the networks didn’t want to run during the main season but give a chance during the summer. I may be picking up some of these (oh I will be watching “Project Runway”), but I’ll also continue to throw out any info about the primetime shows we all love that aren’t back till fall.
Remember, this blog/site is still a big experiment and a work in progress 🙂
So I saw the new commercial on ABC for “Ugly Betty” during Dancing with the stars. Ew alert! Wilhelmina hooks up with Daniel’s dad! Ick! She must be desperate to take over Mode!
Onto “Desperate Housewives,” both TVGuide and Kristen posted similar spoilers from headman Marc Cherry. Seems the finale of the show deals with Susan and Gabby’s weddings (noooooo she can’t marry Ian!). They get into a huge fight over stolen wedding plans. It also looks like someone gets pregers!
So with the normal primetime season winding down in May, Summer will be the time for reality shows as well as other new summer fillers that could be break-out hits. Two proposed series have caught my eye.
Eric Johnson, who played Lana’s boyfriend Whitney Fordman in the first season of “Smallville,” will be playing Flash Gordon in the upcoming Sci-Fi series. The show is set to debut in August, but no other information about the cast has been revealed. All that has been said is that it will be a 22 hour series. I’m guessing they need something to cash in on while “Battlestar” is off the air till 2008!
This show could either be really good or really bad. I have a soft spot in my heart not only for the 80s movie “Flash Gordon” but also the very cheesy 80s “Buck Rogers.” I’ll be looking forward to this one.
The other show that has caught my eye is only a pilot right now. “True Blood” is in development for HBO by Alan Ball, probably best known to many for the dark drama “Six Feet Under.” This show is based on the “Southern Vampire” books and stars Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, a woman in a small town that can read minds. It seems Vampires also live in this small town and subsist off of blood manufactured in Japan !?! Sookie ends up falling in love with a Vampire, of course. Brook Kerr (Whitney on Passions) is set to appear as Sookie’s friend in the show. I loved “Six Feet” and love anything horror-themed, so this show could be really good. Plus Anna Paquin is just awesome.
It’s Monday night, which means the only thing on really is “Dancing With The Stars.” This honestly is the first season I’ve ever watched every show I believe. Before I just watched it if nothing else was on. Anyways . . . to the stars!
Ian: First up, points off for complaining about shaking his boobies like Pat Benetar. Poor Ian didn’t look to great out there tonight to me. I think he was thinking about the booby shake too much and it made him just come off looking uncomfortable with everything else. Like Carrie Anne said, he is thinking too much while he’s out there.
Clyde: He is this show’s Sanjya. Honestly I don’t know why he’s still here! He was so bad! He just walked around the floor while his partner did everything. Uhg, negative points. Again I loved Carrie Anne telling him how bad he was.
Heather: This woman just amazes me by what she does. I thought she was great tonight, I felt so bad that she fell at the end. Taking a point off for that? Pfffft! Points off for Carrie Anne!
Joey: Joey is my man! I think he’s going to win this whole thing. I thought they were awesome in spite of what the judges said. Keep on truckin Joey.
John: Honestly he’s another I don’t get. His dance was fun and silly and definitely better than last week. It seems with John one week he’s on, the next he’s not.
Leila: She started off on the top but in the past few weeks has tumbled. Tonight she did a really good job though. I don’t think she’ll be going home this week.
Apollo: This is one guy I just don’t get really. In the past he has just bored me! Tonight he was technically impressive, but I just don’t get it. I think it’s the look on his face, it looks fake to me. Some of my chat friends love him though (I think they are just hot for him).
Billy Ray: Finally we come to Billy Rae, who I can’t believe has made it this far. First off, that shirt, what was that hideous thing? I was so distracted by it! Like Clyde though, Billy just kinda stood there while the girl did all the work. I wasn’t impressed! Carrie Anne didn’t seem to give him hell like she did Clyde, probably cause she likes him.
Oh yeah, as a bonus, Mrs. Brady was in the crowd this week! Was that Cindy with her? Or was it Markie Post? I couldn’t tell!
Anyways, I think it will be between Clyde, John and Billy this week. I’d like to see Clyde go, but he has yet to even make it into the bottom two. My bet is on John.
Though it has yet to be officially confirmed, the web is a buzz with news that NBC may be putting “Heroes” out on HD-DVD! Dang, if that doesn’t make you want to mortgage your life away just to get the necessary equipment to re-watch the whole series in High Def then nothing will.
ABC took home three GLAAD Awards this weekend. “Grey’s” won for best episode, “Brothers and Sisters” for best drama series and “Ugly Betty” for best comedic series. The GLAAD awards honor depictions of gays and lesbians on television and in the media.
BuzzSugar.com just posted some photos from ABC from the new Grey’s Spin off that is to air on May 3rd. Not too many spoilerish details can be made from the photos except for one big one . . . . . . Christina is a wedding dress! Well it’s not that big of a spoiler, I mean we knew it was coming 🙂 Will she say “I do” is the biggie!
So it was the big Game Night on “Brothers and Sisters” tonight. The episode started off slower than normal but got good about half way through.
First up, Kevin’s date with Jason (Eric Winter). Ouch! Talk about shoving your foot in your mouth and all the way down your throat. That was just painful to watch. I loved when Jason (Eric) pretended to get a phone call and ran off. Obviously something has to give as I believe Eric Winter has a few more episodes on the show. Oh and McAlister and Kitty fighting over their brothers, another ouch. You could see that was going to happen. McAlister saying Kevin wasn’t good enough for Jason . . . . harsh!
Game night was pretty hilarious overall, especially Justin playing twister with the girl with the giant gazongas. I loved Sarah saying it was dangerous, they were rock hard and he could get a concussion! Of course Kitty knew the answer that could have won and they went with Rebbecca, and lost game night. Did I see her smile when they lost? Hmmmm
Over to Rebbecca and whatever happened with Joe. OMG! I cannot believe it. Of course they don’t show us, so we don’t know if she’s lying or not. She obviously made it out like she did not want any part of the kiss, is she lying? Sarah used to be suspicious of that other girl he gave guitar lessons to. Hmmmm, is he a serial cheater?
Finally oh my I can’t believe Kitty and Nora stole the trophy! That was hilarious. I thought maybe they’d go over there only to find out that the Jones were as perfect as they were claiming to be.
Oh yeah, last but not least, no previews for next week !?! Denied!
So Carlos and Eddie’s relationship seemed to have fizzled due to bad sex. Too funny! I really just don’t like these two together at all, I don’t know why. Part of me wants Carlos with Gabby, but I have to admit Gabby and the other guy kinda mesh well. Of course by the end of the episode it seems they finally got it right. Does Carlos really like her, or does he like the idea of the family he never got with Gabby?
Meanwhile Gabby tried to make her new guy (I can’t remember his name, the guy running for office!) jealous by using her handyman. What is it with Gabby and her help? That was a dirty trick, but it seems it worked! What a little tease! However I don’t think she was expecting him to say he loved her.
Tom was down right terrible in this episode. The way he talked to the poor neighbor (Mrs. McLausky sp?) I expected her to bring him a pie and throw it in his face. Then to basically beg poor Lynette for a . . . well . . . . you know. Damn the man has a pair of brass ones. Lynette had her breakdown and hired Rick at the pizzeria. Uh oh, I hope Lynette isn’t going to have an affair with that Rick guy!
Over to Ian, Susan and Mike. When is Susan going to wake up and dump this Brit? I mean seriously, the man is a world class jerk. He is not going to get over his jealousy of Mike. When Mike kissed Susan it was hot, and you could tell it wasn’t Ian she was thinking about when they were doing the deed. Why oh why do I foresee him doing something very very bad to Mike?
Finally the big shocker, the nosey neighbor’s husband is apparently in her freezer with the ice cream. Ewwwww! However this could be a fun storyline. It’s about time she became more than the nosey neighbor who Lynette uses to sit for her kids.
