Dance and Sing Like A Star *updated*

So last night Heather Mills went home on “Dancing With The Stars.” I have to say I’m really P.O.’d about this. No she wouldn’t have won, but she was better than Billy Rae and John from “Cheers.” She should have lasted longer than this!
Meanwhile last night was “American Idol’s” “Idol Gives Back” show. The only song I knew was “Imagine,” and once again I was not impressed by Blake’s performance. I have a feeling Blake or Lakisha will be going home tonight.
Well “AI” made us watch that whole show only to learn they weren’t sending anyone home. I feel cheated!

TVGuide.com is reporting that Polly Bergen will join at the end of the season as Lynette’s mom to help deal with a health crisis. Uh oh!
In other casting news Kristin at E! previously reported that Mike’s brother would be brought in next season.

This is one of those times I’m glad NBC.com shows “Heroes” on their site, because I need to re-watch this one as I was feeling under the weather and only half paying attention. To make matters worse, I was recording “Dancing With The Stars,” so I couldn’t record “Heroes!”
Anyways, we learned a whole lot last night. For starters, Linderman has the power to heal the dead. Well we’ve seen him do it with a plant . . . . but a person? We also learned he wants the explosion to happen, for his own weired “Legion of Doom” saving the world kind of way. The explosion would propel Nathan to the White House.
We also learned that it seems Nathan and Peter’s mommy probably has a power too. Hmmmm, interesting. You could totally see Peter was going to be saved the same way Claire was after she was “killed.” I’ve also been thinking a lot about Peter and Nathan’s father. We were told he committed suicide . . . but did he? I can’t help but think he’s out there somewhere.
Isaac seems to be dead . . . again. We knew he died from the beginning of the show. Will they bring him back? As Hiro said at the end, he didn’t save the world so maybe Isaac was still alive. His character has kinda has run his course though. We were told by the end of the season several heroes would be dead, I figured he was one.
Meanwhile how cool was Hiro’s jump to the future? Next week’s episode should be really neat, but seems a little “X-Menish” to me with the whole hunting down of people with powers.
Finally, when are we going to get some answers about Suresh? They never cleared up the whole thing with his sister, and I just get the feeling that he’s got a power he doesn’t know about.

Deseperate Housewives: Ice Cream! I Scream!

OMG What a great episode! This time I tried to take quick notes so I knew what to comment on 🙂
Carlos and Eddie
First up, Carlos were hilarious and scary at the same time tonight. Carlos kept hiding his relationship with Eddie, who didn’t get it. Loved when Mike walked in on them, she hid and Carlos said the sex noises where just him. TMI given what it seemed like to poor Mike! Carlos and Eddie sneaking around to all the houses Eddie was selling was hilarious, until they got into that car bed. That was just wrong! I hope that family wasn’t living there anymore. Just when you thought they were over, because the truth that he still loved Gabby came out . . . . it seems they were back on! I am warming up to these two. Still though, I think Carlos likes the idea of a pre-made family with Eddie.
Susan, Mike and Ian
So Susan seemed to have little bit of a melt down this week. Ian invited Mike for dinner, which you just knew was a mistake! Mistake #2 was Susan trying to fix Mike up with another woman. Mike talking about prison was hilarious, I was waiting for him to end up telling a “prison bitch” story. I was glad Mike finally told Ian that he loves Susan and wants her back. It was about time! However she went and threw them both out! To make matters worse, the previews have her saying she’s in love with two men. No no no! You love Mike, you want Mike! Grrrrr! Susan frustrates me sometimes. Actually she frustrates me most of the time.
Mrs. McClosky
She was really the focus of the episode, her and the dead husband in the freezer. Poor Parker having to find him, that kid is screwed up forever now! Lynette’s kids are such brats though, that will teach them to break into other peoples’ homes. I am so wondering what happened with that guy though? She got caught by the other nosy neighbor Ida. However I think it’s going to be something innocent as I can’t see them getting rid of her. She’s too much fun! I bet he died and she froze him because she didn’t want to be without him. I could be off, I have not looked at spoilers. DH is one of my favorite shows and I like the surprise 🙂
Tom, Lynette and Rick
So Lynette is making a success of the Pizza Parlor and you can see it’s getting to Tom. That and Rick Rick Rick. Tom’s getting annoyed and I bet he’s going to end up addicted to pain killers. Meanwhile Rick is flirting with Lynette and you can tell she likes it given the way Tom is treating her. He’s always been jealous she was the successful one, and now she’s taking over HIS business and making it a success. She better not go and have an affair on Tom! Oh and the devil child Kayla made an appearance in this episode, of course putting the nails in Lynette’s coffin by reading the restaurant review to her dad. Is it terrible that I hate that child?
Gabby and Victor
So this one was pretty predictable throughout the whole show. They got it on during the blackout, they got blackmailed, it almost cost Victor the election and Gabby agreed to marry him to save the campaign. I am glad thought that she didn’t just marry him for that, she really did see he was a good guy and was trying to protect her.
Where For Out Thy Bree?
I just have to say, I miss Bree!

Most of the television season winds down in May, and leads into a Summer of reality shows and what not. The CW however is promoting a new soap for the Summer called “Hidden Palms.” From what I’ve been able to find out 8 episodes have been shot, perhaps more if it’s a hit? The problem is I believe the 8 episodes were made last year. This show was scrapped from the fall line-up and is now being put on as a Summer filler it seems, so if it’s a hit I don’t know if the cast is still available. Anyways it looks like I might be getting my hands on some clips of the first two episodes of it, if I do I’ll post them. Here is a blurb from the shows press release
The CW’s mysterious new one-hour drama “Hidden Palms” will debut on Wednesday, May 30 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET).
Multi-generational “Hidden Palms” focuses on Johnny Miller (Taylor Handley, “The O.C.”), a teen who is struggling to come to terms with two tragedies in the strange and artificial atmosphere of Palm Springs. In addition to Handley, “Hidden Palms” features a star-studded ensemble cast including “NYPD Blue” veterans Gail O’Grady and Sharon Lawrence, D.W. Moffett (“Traffic”), and fresh faces such as Amber Heard (“Alpha Dog”), Michael Cassidy (“The O.C.”), Ellary Porterfield (“The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio”) and Tessa Thompson (“Veronica Mars”).
The show is from Kevin Williamson, best known for “Dawsons Creek” and the “Scream Movies.” I will admit, I never saw “Dawson” except for maybe 1 episode. I never got it. I did love the “Scream” movies though. If it’s a blend of soap and thriller, it could be good.
