Ugly Betty Gets Some Electric Help

The fabulous Rita Moreno is set to guest star on three episodes of “Ugly Betty” in May. Those in my age bracket probably know Rita best for screaming “Hey You Guys!” on PBS’s “The Electric Company.”

Rita will also be joined by Justina Machado (best known from Six Feet Under). The duo will play Aunt Mirta and Cousin Clara, members of the Suarez family when everyone takes a little trip to Mexico.

Also appearing in the episode is Rebecca Gayheart (McSteamy on Grey’s real life wife). She’ll play a woman that Alex/Alexis used to date!

  1. Rita Moreno as Betty’s aunt should be just perfect casting! I am really looking forward to seeing her. Anybody, any age, should check her out as Anita in the 60’s classic film “West Side Story.” I saw it last summer on the big screen at one of those restored 20’s movie palaces. RM was HOT — a real triple threat!

  2. also in the episode where betty and family go to mexico, there will a guest appearence by the actress that plays betty in the mexican sopa opera. The actress who will play her Letty charachter (Letty is Betty in the mexican soap opera) is named Angelica Vale
